"Hallelujah Hoikuen” (hoikuen means “nursery school”) is looking for a full-time English teacher.  Applicant must be a native English speaker, love children, be flexible, and have experience working with children.  An undergraduate TESOL degree is preferred, but not required.

Hallelujah Hoikuen is a part of Narita Gospel Church, a Japanese church with an international flavor in The Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination.  The nursery school has 30 children, ages 1-6.

The position would entail being the main teacher for the 4-6 year olds, as well as teaching songs, games, conversation, & interacting with all the children of the nursery school in English as they go through their day.  In addition, the job would include teaching songs or skits for the children to perform in the Christmas program and the spring recital.

Housing is provided (pay own utilities) and the annual salary is $14,000 ~ $16,000 depending on the exchange rate (equivalent to 120,000 Japanese yen per month) for 40 hours a week and a few Saturdays (field trip, sports day, spring recital).  Three weeks vacation and Japanese national holidays (1 per month on average) are given off.  The contract would be for a minimum of one year.

Please email your resume, and phone numbers for two references to Mrs. Ayano Sakai, Hallelujah Hoikuen English Coordinator, at:  ayanosakai@hotmail.com.
